Change is in the air...again

So we found someone to rent our house the next year while we try out our new adventure of Laiken going to KinderFrogs! We are looking to live in the Hulen area so we are closer to TCU and so we can afford their $14,000 a year tuition! So much is going on right now I think our heads are spinning, which has really turned my into a horrible blogger! New job, new residence, Laiken going to school, so much has happened since June I am just ready for all the dust to settle. Anyway, so I apologize for the lack of pictures and updates but I will try to be better once we get back to some sort of normal.

Bad Bad Blogger

With all the new things going on around us I have COMPLETELY forgot about blogging. I started a new job about a month ago, we are about to be on the move, and Laiken is going to be starting KinderFrogs in October! Lots going on and I feel like I haven't even been on our home computer in like a month. So I apologize and will put up lots of pictures. Laiken is 14 1/2 months now and although she still army crawls she is trying so hard to stand up. She weighs 22 lbs and is 29 1/2 inches tall and her noggin' is 18 inches...a long way from the skinny baby of last year. =) This summer has been a lot of fun so far and Laiken is a total water baby, every time we go swimming she just plays and plays until we make her get out. Love you baby girl, noe on to some pics!

What Would You Do?

I found this today and I just had to share it, it was hard to watch but it is going to be even harder if I ever see it happen to Laiken or any other person in real life. It also shows how ignorant people look to others when they say things like this...and it seemed that although some people didn't speak up they certainly didn't agree with the abuse. So think about this and the people you affect when you say words like retarded...you may not even realize you said it or the impact it has on others.

There are other videos on there that are just as interesting like a baby locked in a hot car and a woman breastfeeding in public and really make you think...What would you do? I hope after watching you gain some perspective...I know I certainly have.

Golf Tournament

Un-Private...

Anybody who really knows me knows I have a hard time making decisions. This is one of those times...I have decided to un-private our blog and only moderate the comments...which means you can still leave comments but now I have the opportunity to read them before they are posted.

The more I thought about it why should we have to hide just because people are not so nice sometimes...I mean by me hiding Laiken's pictures am I shielding her or making her seem like she needs that? I don't feel that she truely needs that... I feel I need to teach her the tools to rise above any yucky people she encounters and as long as there are people in the world, there will always be a few yucky ones.

So, enjoy not having to log in...with my indecisive-ness it may be short-lived!! =)

Three more days...

until Miss Laiken is ONE!!! One year old...how did this happen?!? We are so thankful for everyone's support this past year. It wasn't the easiest journey but even with all the twists and turns we had a blast!! Laiken has taught us a whole new world of acceptance and optimisim and we are lucky to have her. Hope to see you all on Saturday and for those that aren't able to physically be here I will try to get Birthday pictures up ASAP!!
